The Vision

This Engine will be a robust ecosystem built upon STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education, genetic research, domestic industrial hemp propagation, cultivation, and processing, as well as the development of plant-based products and technologies. It will require investment in research, greenhouses, commercial farms, industrial decortication facilities, and manufacturing facilities, as well as workforce education programs across the supply chain that broaden the participation of structurally disadvantaged and underrepresented populations in Pennsylvania's biotech economy.

This Engine will result in innovative bio-based products and technologies for application in green building construction, packaging, fabrics, renewable energy, land reclamation, and much more.
